These images are particularly interesting to me because they are from our first film, before we knew how it should look and before I had any idea of how to design for animation. There's an interesting bridge here for me from my art school days of drawing observationally to what I do now which is drawing a "movable design", two very different skills which are difficult to learn how to separate.
